We represent a synthesis of technical mastery and moral movement where we design and build systems that active foster human flourishing over pure optimization.

Drawing inspiration from historical polymaths who merged hands-on creation with deep philosophical questioning and the guidance of our contemporaries who have distilled the idea further our practices are based on these key principles:

• Explicit Moral Commitments: Questioning fundamental assumptions about what technology should optimize, and for whom.
• Ethical Design Principles: Designing products and systems that prioritize human well-being over mere efficiency, maximizing engagement or exploitation.
• Systemic Responsibility: Taking accountability for the downstream consequences of a product across the full spectrum of affected parties.

Maniacal optimization may not always be necessary, even totally unnecessary, as opposed to enhancing the skills and confidence to make good, quick and morally aligned decisions. Over the ages with the advent of newer technology while moving faster has always been possible but moving together in the right direction has always challenged us. But, now with the tools at hand, a good or bad decision can amplify the effects to possibly irreversible states – both mental and physical.

We have seen the effects of medicines, especially sports medicine research, on humankind, our lifespans and improved along with the quality of life. While over the years the availability of these medicines has dramatically improved and helped the larger population it has also introduced ambiguity. This ambiguity is not limited to the appropriate usage of the drug or its aftereffects but the almost intentional avoidance of information dissemination that would help users make the right choice – physical and moral.

With Computer Science we have rapidly crossed the threshold of that wonder drug discovery and democratization. Now we need to carry the message to our fellow creators to help shape the thinking, driving more intellectual sharing, and having the courage and encouraging these new visionaries to ask the tough questions and seek newer answers.
